Member Voice Spotlights

June Member Voice: Spotlight on Nathia Reed

Name: Nathia Reed
Office/Agency: Coldwell Banker Worcester
Length of time with RACM: Less than a year

Tell us a little bit about your current role!

I’m a newer real estate agent with Coldwell Banker, and from the start, I’ve treated this as more than just a job—it’s my business, my brand, and a vehicle for legacy. I’ve hit the ground running, completing certifications like Seller Representative Specialist (SRS), Pricing Strategy Advisor (PSA), Real Estate Negotiation Expert (RENE), At Home With Diversity (AHWD), and C2EX, along with courses in Comparative Market Analysis and the Residential Appraisal Process.

I’ve also joined a committee, attended the Top Producer Luncheon, and am in the process of completing my first listing. Every step reminds me that real estate requires grit, heart, and the ability to bet on yourself—even on the days when you’re wrestling with a lockbox in the rain, silently questioning all your life choices while smiling for the Ring camera. (True story.)

How has your career grown since joining RACM?

Joining RACM has been more than just a membership—it’s been a launchpad. It gave me the foundation I didn’t know I needed: structure, support, and a community that believes in lifting each other up. As a new agent, that sense of belonging meant everything.

Through the events, trainings, and conversations with seasoned professionals, I’ve gained more than just tools—I’ve gained clarity, confidence, and direction. I’ve been able to learn from top producers, stay current on market trends, and build relationships that have pushed me to grow both personally and professionally.

RACM helped shift my mindset early: I’m not just in real estate—I am my business. That realization changed how I move. I’m no longer just learning the ropes—I’m building a full-service brand grounded in education, development, and impact. And I’m just getting started.

What has been your favorite part of being a member so far?

RACM has created a space where learning is paired with real leadership and community. From day one, I’ve felt supported—and not just because of the resources. It’s the people. It’s the way RACM listens, evolves, and invites members at every level to grow with them.

Being surrounded by REALTORS®, lenders, and professionals who are open, generous, and intentional has made all the difference. It’s not just helping me build my business—it’s shaping the kind of professional I’m becoming.

If you could give advice to new members at the association, what would it be?

Treat this like the business it is—from day one. Don’t wait until you “feel ready” to act like a professional. Take the courses, go to the events, join the committees, ask the questions. The more you invest in yourself, the faster your confidence will grow.

Also—give yourself grace. You’re going to get lost on the way to a showing, fumble with a lockbox, or feel like you’re in over your head sometimes. That’s normal. The key is to keep showing up anyway. You belong in the room, even if you’re still learning the language.

What is your favorite thing to do in your spare time outside of work?

I’m a mom of three, so “spare time” usually means juggling schedules, cheering from the sidelines, and figuring out what’s for dinner—again. But I wouldn’t trade it. I love being in the mix of family, food, and fun. When I do get quiet moments, I unwind with puzzles, get a little too competitive during game nights, and journal ideas that usually start as a scribble and end up on a vision board. Even when life feels chaotic, I always find space to laugh, dream, and reflect.

What’s something most people don’t know about you?

Most people don’t know how much of myself I pour into everything I do. On the outside, I may look calm and composed—but underneath, I care deeply, I think constantly, and I feel everything. I’m the kind of person who’ll crack a joke in a tense room just to ease the energy, who rewatches musicals because storytelling moves me, and who genuinely finds comfort in overly dramatic vampire shows and late-night note-taking.

Cameras make me freeze faster than a Zoom call with bad Wi-Fi.

What surprises people most is that I’m not just building a business—I’m building a future rooted in joy, healing, and ownership—for myself, my family, and everyone I’m honored to walk this journey with. I’m doing it my way—with heart, humor, strategy, and a full-blown kitchen concert where the vocals are questionable, but the passion is unmatched.

What is one thing you can’t live without?

I can’t live without my faith, my family, my sense of humor, and at least three goals that scare me a little.

May Member Voice: Spotlight on Alice Romeo

Name: Alice Romeo
Office/Agency: RE/MAX Executive Realty
Length of time with RACM: 11 Years with RACM; 15 years licensed

Tell us a little bit about your current role! I’m a solo agent with RE/MAX Executive Realty and a member of RACM

How has your career grown since joining RACM? Prior to joining RACM, I affiliated with start-up offices that had limited training and networking opportunities. While I appreciate the introduction that this gave me to the industry, it became apparent that I had quickly outgrown this model. Between affiliating with a reputable brokerage and gaining membership in RACM, I was able to build a sustainable full-time career, which enabled me to help more clients.

What has been your favorite part of being a member so far? It is nice to be a part of an association that is larger than your brokerage. The training and networking opportunities are a great resource to have when you find yourself in a period where you have a little extra time to dedicate to self-improvement.

If you could give advice to new members at the association, what would it be? Get to know other members of RACM and interact with them enough to be known. It makes a difference when you know that the professional on the other side of a transaction is someone who you have already established a positive business connection with.

What is your favorite thing to do in your spare time outside of work? I have invested a lot of energy into community organizing over the past few years. Outside of that, I find anything that sparks curiosity and a sense of exploration to be very fulfilling.

What’s something most people don’t know about you? I live pretty open and authentically, so I can’t think of an answer that isn’t trivial. I’ll take this space to tell the person reading this that you are valuable and you matter. Even if you are going through difficult times right now, you know you have likely been through worse at one point, and you got through it. Acting like you are confident and being confident are one in the same if you keep it up long enough. Be unapologetically true to yourself, and you will inspire others to do the same.

Each month, we are getting to know a different RACM member – sharing their story, what they’re passionate about, and how they’re making a difference in real estate and our community! It’s all about getting to know each other a little better—and celebrating the people who make RACM awesome.
