Between March 1, 2022, to Dec. 31, 2024, every REALTOR® is required to complete 2 hours of Code of Ethics Training.

If you have already completed the training program since March 1, 2022, but your status does not reflect this on your profile, please email a course completion certificate to membership@realtorscentralma.org so that we may update our records. Please include the course title, completion date, your full name, and license number.

Training Options

Limited Availability for Live RACM Classes: Spots are filling up quickly for the very few remaining classes at RACM. RACM is happy to host Code of Ethics training on location in the classroom.

This is an NAR developed online course allowing REALTORS® to stop and restart the course at their convenience within a 30-day time period. Successful completion is recorded in the National REALTORS® Database System (NRDS) and satisfies a member’s Code of Ethics training requirement.

Offered online in 2 versions:
FREE – with no CE credit
PAID – with CE credit

Applicants for REALTOR® membership are required to complete a minimum of two hours and thirty minutes of orientation on the Code of Ethics of the National Association of REALTORS®, as provided in the New Member Code of Ethics Orientation.

The Code of Ethics established by NAR in 1913 marked an early instance of ethical responsibilities codified within a business community. This code guarantees consumer protection by mandating that REALTORS® collaborate to advance the best interests of their clients.

At this time, we recommend that you take advantage of the MAR Online Code of Ethics class to fulfill your requirements. 

If you do not complete your requirements by January 1, 2025, your membership will be suspended, all member benefits will become unavailable, and there is a $200 reinstatement fee.
